Stanley Hill

Also known as ‘Schoochie Hill’, it consists of a landscaped and terraced mound created by the 2nd Duke of Atholl around 1730, as part of the landscaping of the estate.

2nd Duke of Atholl

It is an important, man-made element of the designed landscape of Dunkeld Estate and originally formed the backdrop to an earlier residence of the Duke of Atholl.

It was maintained for decorative purposes and is a prominent feature within the village of Dunkeld.

Directions

West from the centre of Dunkeld. Take the Dunkeld & Birnam exit from the A9.

Visit all year round.

Prices

Car parking is located at the Dunkeld North Car Park which also has toilet facilities.
All other facilities and refreshments are available in Dunkeld.

Public Transport

Take the train or bus to Dunkeld & Birnam and walk from the centre of Dunkeld.
